Business Description
Top 2% Established Storefront on TPT
I'm selling my storefront on teacherspayteachers.com, 'Editable Activities'. This is a very unique opportunity for the right buyer. Established in 2019, this storefront, unlike any of the other stores for sale is a passive income revenue stream. Meaning, there's no overhead costs like rent, dealing with vendors, no need to ever leave your house; the money just comes in while you do work elsewhere!
This store was one of two stores featured on a couple recent CNBC articles found here:
and here:
Do note, that the article commonly refers to my wife's storefront 'Sight Word Activities' and this listing is NOT for that storefront. It is for my storefront, 'Editable Activities'.
Over the past 4 years, I've averaged just under $50,000 in net, 'take home' sales. My store has grossed $300,000+ in sales since it's inception.
I have 200+ products where I specialize in editable adobe pdf products for the classroom. My wife and I would be happy to give the buyer of this store a couple training sessions on how my products work, how they are created, how to get the best product placement via Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as well as any other questions you may have about the business and its history.
Here's some backstory about TeachersPayTeachers.com. it was started in 2006 and rumors of its new marketplace, just for teachers spread like wildfire around the globe. It is a global marketplace and has surpassed companies like Scholastic. My wife and I got started in 2014 and by then, it was well established as 'thee' place for digital teaching resources.
Fast forward to the heart of the pandemic and Amazon threw their hat in the digital teaching resources ring with their 'Amazon Ignite' platform. That only lasted 6 months before Amazon saw that they can't keep competing. Yes, THAT Amazon.
I always hear when a company goes public, a driving factor is, 'How well are they established in their industry?' What they are really asking is, how risky is it that this business will go under. I wish TPT would go public so I could get in on their IPO. Needless to say, TPT is a true Juggernaut of a marketplace. This store, like I mentioned, is a unique opportunity where money really does grow on trees.
Detailed Information
Location: Beaverton, OR
Employees: 2
Facilities: The 200+ product listings are the assets, along with the history of reviews and ratings of the products. (Home Based)
Competition: The market is the education industry as a whole. And while there is other competition from other sellers on TeachersPayTeachers.com (TPT), my store is in the 98th percentile (top 2%) of grossing sales. While the market on TPT is saturated, by purchasing this well-known and well established store, you will heads and shoulders above the rest of the competition out there.
Growth & Expansion: The growth opportunities arise from any unique ideas you may have to better a teacher's classroom. If you have an acumen for design and/or a passion for teaching. This storefront would provide a huge advantage over starting a store from scratch with no reviews and a saturated market.
Support & Training: My wife and I would be happy to give a few sessions on how the storefront operates, how to create products, maximize SEO, as well as answer technical questions.
Reason for Selling: Pursue other business ventures.
